| WELCOME
Based out of San Francisco and Oakland, CA, Happy Idiot is Luis Valentino (singer/guitar), Scott Barnes (drums), and Alan Stonebraker (bass).
Happy Idiot has been building a fan base playing clubs throughout the Bay Area — most recently Thee Parkside, and Bender's which in a strange twist, burned to the ground after we played there. Well, not right after we played there...
This post-punk trio’s sound is fueled by edgy late 60’s/early 70’s rock combined with garage. Along with the ferocious guitar crunch of The Jesus Lizard and the sonic rush of The MC5, a tight, powerful rhythm section and sweeping time signatures make this one of the most idiosyncratic bands of the Bay Area. See them live and experience the sensation of low flying aircraft. |
